About

Deb comes from a family of multi-disciplinary artists. She has developed her own style over many years beginning with use of acrylics and now, working almost exclusively since the early 2000’s, with chalk pastels.

Deb concentrates on landscapes inspired by the many places she has visited and worked in, in British Columbia and beyond. She is inspired (daily) by the light and the water that surrounds her where she lives.

Over the years human figures and mand-made objects have gradually disappeared from her art, leaving the land as the main character in almost all of her images.

She has lived and worked in the West Kootenay region of SE BC for the last 30+ years.

“Landmark” . Collection of the Artist

This piece offers a view of the yellow globe shaped willow tree at the head of our lake and near to where Argenta sits. Also known as The Lollipop Tree, it can be seen for miles and is a wayfinder in our wilderness.
